New motor mounts

I have a 98 with 75000 miles and i was thinking of changing all the mounts since the car vibrates while idling in drive. I believe the mounts are all original so should i get the original parts from the dealer or aftermarket like skp mounts from rockauto website? I know its an old car but im trying to do preventive maintenance to last like maybe almost 10 yrs or so.

I did mine last year and I bought all new oem nissan original mounts. Aftermarket mounts just dont work good nor are they anywhere near the quality of an original mount. Especially the front engine mount and the back engine mount that are electronically controlled which you wont find in aftermarket mounts. So do all oem if you can. My car has 388,000 miles and i went all original and it runs great.

Good luck aftermarket work for me with a little opening the holes that fit on the x member or getting all the bolts in then tighten!

Last year I replaced alot of old rubber parts on my 97. If your looking to go oem, I got a package set on ebay, 2 front 1 rear motor mounts & transission mount all for >$60 shipped (link for what I purchased below). I only used the rear mount and transmission mount from this pack, as for the front mounts I went with energy suspension (7.1114g). I actually purchased all energy suspension parts they made for our cars. I would stick with the cheaper oem (unless racing). The energy suspension motor mounts strap the motor to the frame, this creates a vibration in the cabin which is fine with me (not for my gf).

I would say it straps the motor to the frame because it's a full poly inserted motor mount. But there could be some vibration noted due to the idle frequency, its so small, it's no biggie for my Wifey!

Perhaps you can keep your OE mounts and just do this ...
