Recirculating/Fresh Air Actuator location

Can someone here please tell me where the fresh air/recirculating actuator is for the 97 Maxima? Not the blend door for the heat and not the controls for the defroster/floor/fan on face. Mine is stuck on recirculating and my car keeps fogging up and I have to crack the window to clear it out. Thanks in advance

It's behind the passenger airbag on the side of the blower housing.

Sorry it's blurry.

It's called the intake door motor.

It's above the blower motor.

Well it was plugged in. It's fair to say that motor is toast.

Let us know how you do replacing it! Mine needs to be replaced too - have the part, never made the time.

I had thought that taking the airbag out was required...that's a pretty good picture though?

27736-40U10

Discontinued.

Find someone on CL that is parting out a 97 maxima somewhere near you (wherever that is) and see if you can get it.

I think this is for the blend door/heat. I need the recirculating fresh air one. I already replaced that

So...I don't _know_ - just posting for edification/clarification/information. I had thought that I bought the correct part to fix a broken Fresh/Recirc condition. I very much welcome clarification:

This is the link I used to buy #27080 (27740-40U00) - it shows the part in question on the driver's side of the blower assembly, towards the top:
https://www.infinitipartsdeal.com/pa...270_B002,27080

On that website above, the part I bought is shown on the "Blower Unit" sub-assembly drawing. The part that KP11520 referenced ("27730M - 27736-40U10") is shown on the "Heater Unit" drawing. I think the "Blower Unit" is in front of the passenger seat - and "Heater Unit" is in the center stack.

This was the thread in which I discussed this issue:
https://maxima.org/forums/4th-genera...oor-motor.html

The guy in the linked YouTube video is installing "27732-40U00". I don't know if that's supposed to be the same part with a different number as the part in my posession - or Not.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
