Help please
Hey folks. I'm new to this forum and I would have searched but have no idea what this is. The hose comes from the valve cover to some sort of airbox? Anyway the end of the hose is taped up with electric tape. Just needing a little help. Hope I didn't break rules. Thanks in advance

Hard to tell, but it appears the plastic nipple of the air box (resonator to keep things quiet) has broken off, and hence why the hose it taped off.
Not a severe/critical issue, but it should be addressed. Get either a new hose and/or airbox (or both if needed) and fix it. Simple stuff.
The only rule you broke is having a lame thread title. LOL I plan to revise it shortly.

I would consider glueing the broken nipple to the air box.
Detach the hose and broken nipple.
Clean the parts the broken area with brake cleaner and a paper towel.
Then I would use a two-part epoxy glue to attach the nipple to the air box.
Use masking tape to reinforce the joined area until the epoxy cures.
No guarantee that this will work. Yet it almost certainly will.
Otherwise find another air box at a wrecking yard.

How about the appropriate size of one of these with appropriate washers and a nut and drill out the broken one and silicone in place and tighten the nut with high temp, oil resistant silicone. Done!
But I like JvG's idea best. Arkansas has pick a part junk yards where you remove exactly what you want from their stock cars.
