Question ?? I got a little project in mind ......

I was wondering if anyone knew if the 95-96 tail lights would fit 97-99 and vice versa. Are they a different size or the same?

i'm not too sure but i think this mighta been talked about, so you could try searching...but i think in order for this to happen, some rear end modding would need to happen

They are just different enough to require sheet metal to be cut...

He is saying you have to cut up your car to make them fit. Look at them, they are plainly NOT the same shape.

The outers are the same, the inners will NOT fit, unless if you follow MZMTG's helpful advice and do some custom work....

Get a 97-99 lid, then the inner ones will fit.

I once saw a 97-99 Max with a 95-96 trunk lid, which also had the 95/96 tails. Or was it the other way around?? Confused the hell out of me when I saw it. Everything fit perfectly. I wanted to take a picture but had no camera.

So, like the others said, the lights only fit the years they were made with. Gotta do metal bending if you're going to make them fit.
