well, it would explode because of the pressure caused by the heat of the fire, well assuming the purge valve on the bottle completely malfunctions...but it is possible...

I'm replying to the original thread. He kept saying Venom NOS kit. NOS (Nitrous Oxide System) is a brand. Nitrous Express is a brand. People should use generic terms like Nitrous kit or N2O.

What others are saying is that the term "NOS" is branded to Holley as Nitrous Oxide Systems. Having "nitrous" or "n20" is the correct terminology. Your saying a Venom NOS kit. thats like saying a Toyota Nissan Prelude.. Your mixing up lots of names that doesn't make sense.

Here is also some history on Venoms nitrous kit. They originally built and had to recall a whole pile of them because they were blowing up cars. That is why the R&D has been so long on those kits. They work by computer controlling your injector pulse width which is really a bad way to do it honestly and it's just a fancy dry kit like the NOS 5124 kit everybody is running.

If your interested, save your money and buy a regular kit. You see any major racers run Venom? Yeah, Jimmy O'Connor. You know he runs a Venom bottle and NX solenoids? Yeah it's true. He has a huge sponsorship deal with VENOM so he runs their bottle, but doesn't like their stuff and runs NX and it's all hidden. Nasty..

You want a good nitrous kit. Try a NX single nozzle wet kit http://www.nitrousexpress.com/sportcom_stage1.htm This kit will work with a long runner car as the nozzles have a totally different design vs. NOS (Holley) nozzles. The atomization of the fuel is almost perfect where the nos nozzles are only around 60%. Call NX if you have doubts. This kit will work well. Also the 5124 kit is proven on the Maxima and will give great increases safely.

Have fun and spray safe!

Re: Umm?

I didn't say you should say "Venom kit". You should say Venom nitrous kit. Dude..it's like saying I want to buy a pair of "Adidas Nike". How am I suppose to know if you want a "Venom nitrous kit" or a "NOS nitrous" kit? Anyway, I should stop because I don't have a clue about nitrous.

This is true with plenty of things that are trademarked names though.
Like Kleenex, Cue Tip, Coke, etc. I dont see the big deal in calling it NOS. I mean it doesnt hurt anyone and everyone knows just what he means.
