B-pipe installation help please

I'm installing a WSP b-pipe right now and have a problem.
I have my old pipe out and am setting the new one in place.
There's 2 pipe sections - good
There's a flat gasket for the connection at the cat - good
There's a metallic o-ring - bad

The o-ring isn't mentioned in the installation instructions and
I can't see a good place to install it. Do I need it? Do I toss it?
Thanks in advance for the help.

maybe

Maybe you just got an extra metal O ring. I don't have a B pipe but I did put a Y pipe on and I know there were metal O rings used at the connections between the Y pipe and the engine.

Thanks for the reply. That's the reasoning I decided to go with as
well. But now that everything is hooked up I can't connect it to my
stock 4th gen muffler. They didn't bother to give me any bolts to
connect the rear of the b-pipe to the exhause flange. The stock
bolts are rivetted to the flange of the stock b-pipe so they're not
usable.

I guess I'll take a long walk to the bus and get up to Home Depot
to try to get a couple bolts to use here. Can someone else who
bought a WSP b-pipe for a 4th gen tell me if you were given all the
parts for the install por favor.

You need to get 2 3/8"x16 1.5" bolts and 2 3/8" coarse-thread nuts.
I popped on 2 lock washers just for the fun of it - 69 cents total.
