Eibach Bump Stop triming

OK, I did my search, it seems that most people did not trim their bump stops, although it appears those are mostly H+R springs.
If you trim the bump stops, the boot that protects the shock shaft gets cut off. Anyone agree? or does anyone have a suggestion? I have started the install and I have one strut done and left the bump stop alone. Quiting for the night. Thanks

OK, no one answered, so I went ahead and installed the springs without cutting the stops. Here is what I learned driving around for a day and what I did.

The back seemed to bottom out on the stops quite easily. The front did not. I took the rear struts apart and made one cut which took the boot off. There are two bump stops and I then cut off the smaller of the two stops. Now the boot has nothing to attach to, so I turned it upside down so the narrow top now rest on the top of the shock. This keeps the shock shaft protected. So far the rears haven't bottomed out, so bottom line is, yes in the rear, the bump stops need to be shortened.

I took apart both sides and cut the stops in under an hour without air tools.
