Sorry the way i phrased the question made it sound like i didn't know what it standed for. THe question i have is what is it, a recall, common problems people have with there maximas. These tsbs don't happen on every maxima right? Like the auto trans problem. it doesn't happen on every 5thgen maxima that was produced before setember 8th 2000.

 

I have been looking throught the sticky TSB, at the top of the forum and on the 2nd page you give a list for 2000 maxima TSB. How do you get to the bulletin that says how to fix it?

 

usually it does NOT apply to every car... more often it's a range of VINs that represent a problem with a build-date range. When they figure out there's a problem, they usually fix it at the factory so new cars don't have the problem and go back and find the range (build-date / VINs) that were affected and only have the TSB apply to those cars.

also, I'm not sure what you mean about "how to fix it"? Explain that, please. Do you want to see the actual TSB work-up that tells the tech what to do?

In the sticky about tsb on the top of the forum page 2 have all the tsbs for 2000 maximas. But they do not displays the pages like the one that i gave the address to. How do i get these pages?

 

believe it or not, you have to pay for them. The ones that are listed are ones that people somehow "got" either from the dealer or from a place that paid/subscribed to the service. The "synopsis" is free but the detailed version is "for pay."

So, what you see here is usually what she/he/we "acquired" from the dealer.

were you looking for one in particular, or did you just want to see the detail version of the whole big list?
