Has anyone blown 2 MAFS?
i'm getting my car back tomorrow(if all goes as planned) for a blown MAFS repaired under warranty and i'm afraid to put my intake back on cuz the last one blew the very day after I installed my WeaponR dragon intake(returned to stock before i spoke to the nissan guy). i was just wondering if anyone has had a continual MAFS problem.

is he paying to replace them all or is nissan? and is there a chance i may blow this new MAFS when i put my weapon-r back on? i assume the guy you mentioned is running nitrous, you think just an intake'd be enough to keep screwin' it up? and, not to play 20 questions but, should i not install the intake right away with the new MAFS or do you think it'd be better for the ecu to relearn with the intake on from the get-go

WTF is up with these MAFs? Are G drivers having the problems Maxima and Altima owners are having? Hopefully with Technosource looking into ECU upgrades someone might be able to shed some light on the MAF problems. I'd buy a 3rd party MAF in a heartbeat.

i drove it to the nissan place but kept it mostly in 2nd and third gear then just put it in 5th once i hit the main cruisin roads. my nissan place is only a few minutes away, thankfully.
i told the guy that i was doing an aftermarket intake install and he didn't bat an eye and it's still covered under warranty. it slipped out when i told him i had spoken to a weapon-r customer service rep concerning the MAFS. and he said "what's that?" so i spilled the beans and he didn't try to say it wouldn't be covered. he just asked if it was the stock airbox as of now. which it was. i'm supposed to be getting the car back today, so i still wanna know if it's a good idea to put the intake right back on or should i give it a little while.
