Rippmods Supercharger for 02-03
Spoke with Ross (the owner) and he is willing to do a supercharger kit for our cars. We talked for about 20 mins and he knows his s**t. He needs to know how much interests are there. So post here dont flood them with calls. I have to send him a link of this post and he’ll be reading it. Check out the custom kits on his site rippmods.com

What year is he going to do it for? The VQ30 or the VQ35?
What type is supercharger is also important?
What will be the rough cost?
How many people does he need for this (per engine type if applicable?)
Where is he located and how long will he need a car for R&D of his kit?
Will he perform installs?
We need more details. Many will show interest if they hear what they want to hear above (price in particular), 50% will probably drop out once he makes it a reality (if he does) - that always happens too when it comes down to commitments...
We need details!
If I were to ask "how many people are interested in a 1000fwhp-rated automatic tranny & 350cid engine swap", I'm sure someone would ask me what the whole deal is about too.
Good luck!

If you want to know about Rippmods, aside from their site, I suggest reading my other forum, they are very helpful, very communicative, and they are constantly posting/helping in our forums (and judging by the multiple members from my site who own there blower) and seem to build a great, solid reliable product.

I checked his website, he uses vortech blower for the toyota and 3000gt. Check out the 3000gt SC, they use a long shaft to extend the SC pulley, mayne it can solve the mounting problem of a centrifugal blower onto a VQ35. like this:
if it works (that means no problem with fitting, mounting and alignment)....VQ35 will just have the fuel delivery problem to solve....or VQ35 peeps can run on a 5.6 pulley and produce 2psi at peak
what are you doing here anyways???
you got an SC already!

Yeppers! They use the same design on Grand Prix GT's (ZZP designs the kit).
I suggested it in the SC/Turbo forum but nobody listened to me
There's plenty of room on the driver's side of the engine bay for the S/C - you'd have to relocate less items as well... even an ATI Procharger or a Paxton could work (I've heard paxtons are more efficient than others of our type). All they'd need to do after this is pop on an FMU of some kind and the car would be done.. just like our kit!
I may have a SC but what if one day I want to buy my father a "gift" for his 2k3 GXE I think I'm also thinking this is another "new supercharger coming soon" thread
If they do this as a VQ35DE kit they would have a lot of demand.
If they do it as a VQ30DE, the stillen kit is just as "good" a deal.. you're in the ballpark pricewise and their kit is already proven (minus the plastic pulleys which are easily changeable for a few bucks).

I am friends with some of the workers that work at RIPP. I spoke to them to do this they need a test car for at least 3-6 months and at least 10 orders. I cannot go with out my car for that long otherwise I would do it.
