Actually, now it's between 2k2 Max SE or Acura RSX-S, athletic cruiser vs. go-cart racer.

Yea they are nice, but holy $$$...I could be in an A4 or 3-series.

SteVTEC...4th gen is actually an option, I haven't lost my love for that car.

comparin to my ae and the 02 max i often drive (belongs to a friend)
if u listen to them closely, 3.0 sounds sweeter, more refined, overall quality etc
not just my opinion alone, many car-fetish friends of mine agree as well
after u change all ur stereo, seats and mod a bit ,etc
u cant tell the difference
heated wheel? i dont even use heated seat =D dont wanna get all sweaty
i get enough heat just from the excitement

if u mod ur 3.5 heavily, remember its just a fwd,
if u want performance, why not simply get a 350z or g35 coupe?

i prefer the ae, i knew 3.5 was comin out but still... i went for the ae
maybe its just a sentimental thing after driving a max since the day i got my license =D

Just like was said on the first page on this thread, it all goes back to what each man/woman prefers. I personally did a thorough search and test drove approximately 25 Max's both 5th and 5.5 gens and when I saw and drove the black AE that I ended up purchasing, none of the 2002+'s could compare. To me, I was looking for a car that I "felt" more comfortable in, not a car that would blow someone off the road (that was what my Corvette was for when I was 16). Personally, the AE looks and feels "slick." When I drove the '02s and '03s they were nice, but to me just felt like I was carrying more around and felt more bulky then smooth. But there again, that's just me. I like the thought that I have a car that hardly anyone else in my area has, especially considering that I see so many 5.5s driving around. Anyway, enough of this rant, but debating can be very constructive, just had to put in my .02

Boy, it sure gets heated up in here when the 5.5 elitism meets the AE elitism. I think those are probably the two most elitist groups on the org. Ok, back to the action! *ducks out of thread*

I was offered a nice black AE when looking for my 5.5 gen. Even though I still wanted the 5.5, they insisted it was virtually the same car, until i found a salesman that could relate to the 3.5L. I didnt budge with the AE and waited until I got me an 03 Ti SE.

Specifically, that would be the add'l .5L, 28bhp, 29lb-ft and the ability to run mid-upper 14s with an auto tranny. JUST MESSING WITH YA!!!!

IMO the OEM body kit is nicer on the AE but the VQ35DE power delivery is flat out addictive. I've had my 02 since March 02 and the acceleration still puts a smile on my face. (of course, my smile has become broader with the addition of my Cattman Y-pipe. )

02 no doubt, I think the Side sills that come on the 02/03 does enough to the 5th gen look. Like F23A4 said the 3.5 just puts smile on your face most of the time when you hit that gas, my 01 just didnot do that. Most of us here are straight line peeps and the 3.5 can hold its on against most stock for stock quite well.

350Z is IMO...If you're gonna get a sportscar, get a REAL sportscar.....not a wannabe-sportscar (350Z aka G35C) that weighs as much as a maxima....

beside that points...obviously a 2k2 with the 3.5 is preferable to our 3.0. But our insurance is MUCH lower thanks to no HID-theft

I don't know what you all talking about if you guys really need more and more HP (man's insecuryty) then buy your self camaro, corvette or Porsche. Beside comparing max 5 and 5.5 is like comparing Intel 3.0 and 3.2 sure is faster but will that 0.05 sec change your life.
