So we are on our 4th SES light. They already replaced 4 sensors.....crank, cam. They also replaced the Intake solenoid. The Max is still running like shixnit ! It chokes between 2k-5k rpms.....it back in dealer... Getting ready for a new Cobra...

My Max is in the dealer as we speak...

 

I feel you... i had the same problem with my 2k2 max!! I went to dealer to fix my tranny but my as$!! just buy 2k3 man...

 

Get a 2k3. Or a 6th gen...not a Cobra...you'll have more problems.

 

hell no cobra man... sh*tstang!! get 6 speed or 350Z, G35, altima, etc.

Be careful with your cliches, its "I feel for you", not "I feel you". Too bad about your problems Kloogy, its a PITA. 35k mi for me and not one SES light (knock on wood).

yep, everything if fixed with his car, but you should still get a cobra and take care of those MMs

 

Here is the rundown. Some genius master tech at Nissan , put my Crank sensor, where the Cam sensor goes, and vice versa............The assistant service manager, worked on my car himself, due to all the problems Ive had these last fews weeks. Its all fixed know *knocking on wood*.....hope it holds up.

I owned an 89 LX stang, for 10 years. Bought it brand spanking new. I also owned a WS6 Trans am. Had it for 3 years . Both of those cars combined, never saw the dealership , as much as my Max has. Both of those cars, were modded far more extenisvely than the Max is. I have always hated Japanese cars, and still do. I saw the 2k2 Max at the auto show in Jan 2k2, and loved it. I went and bought one, expecting to enjoy the alleged quality of Japanese cars. I was also told about how great the resale value is.... I went to Infiniti, looking to trade up to a G35 coupe and was offered 13k for my car. I almost slit the guys neck and pi-s-sed in his throat.......I still love my Max. I just need to hold on to it for 1 more year, then I can get anything I want. I might just trade my girls 2k2 Altima in, and get the Cobra.....but it has to be a 2k4 Cobra......I got so many plans for that car. I can still be on the Org with the Max, and tell you guys about my 11 sec Cobra....

 

oh hell yeah man. magazines gave the 03 cobra 1 year test a decent review, it's not like it fell apart on the road the way everybody else insinuates. imo, wait for the 06 cobra
