Wouldn't 500hp be too much for an FWD? Especially handling...

yea it would, but it'd still be cool, and you wouldn't have to go all the way up to that, its just possible, you would prolly be looking at like 350 without doing anything else, just a guess. And I think it would have less problems than FI

Well, the kit costs something around 7 grand or so. I doubt anyone here would want to do that for that much.

For the Gazillionth time this is a repost. And they do NOT make a 4.3. One is a 4.2 and the other is a 4.4. Do the math.

If you want to be ignorant all of your life that is your business. Meanwhile there are other people that prefer to be educated of the facts.

The AEBS kit is NOT 4.3 liters. The FI kit is 4.2 liters and both NA kits are 4.4 liters. Why the U.S. department of the company chooses to spread this misinformation is beyond me.

if you do that to a max...the car will fall apart. it cant handle that much power!! you would need a new tranny, axles, etc. for all that money and work you could get something else (like a cobra!!!)

Listen to what SR20 is say, this guys know a lot of ****. BTW, its funny as hell how you have to post on every thread that calls it a 4.3, just chill man, leave it be, no reason to loose hair over it. People will learn slowly. Are you planning on doing this stroker?

Like many others who've fled to the Off Topic forums, I don't like the spread of misinformation and try to do my part to correct it whenever possible. There are several who dwell in that area that feel the general forum is on a downward spiral and the quality of information is getting progressively worse.

The comments made about having too much power in a Maxima is equaly as ignorant and perhaps even more aggravating.

sr20den, sorry about that, i thought you were trying to say that the 4.3 kit didn't exist, when it does, its just named the wrong thing.

And to whoever said you could get a cobra, why would I want to buy a cobra, they are ugly cars with crapy interiors, i would either get a z or save a little more and get a vette

That was soonerfan, I think he meant that with all the money you would spend trying to make your car quicker (quality aside) you could just get a cobra (for speed) and save yourself the trouble of modding your car up. As far as soonerfans comment on maximas not beeing able to handle power.. I think your good to go if you have the 6 speed, but you might need to mod the tranny for the automatic to handle that power. But otherwise the maxima is a very durable car.

SR20s will handle 450WHP without no internall work to em. I've had plenty of these engines apart, and turboed. I'm the Chicagoland SR20 gurru.

Anything is possible! Can you say twin turbo VQ30?

I would like to strap a T25 to the rear bank and a T3 or larger on the front (just to show it off). The small turbo would be good for lower RPM power, and just when it starts to run out of juice, the big turbo would take over!

Of course I would need forged titanium conecting rods and bottom-end, new pistons, etc. etc.

Id also have to figure out how to transplant a Porsche GT2 transaxle for the front drive too

Oh well, I guess that will have to wait until I have like 30k and a lot of time to spare.

Okay, Im done dreaming for now.
