Is 75 shot going to wear down the engine?

yea i am interested in nitrous too...

the weakest link in our cars is definatly the tranny... our engines can definatly take the abuse... its the Tranny that cant... eventually i am looking to get a NOS + Supercharger set up... so i will want to do a full Level10 rebuild which is around $3000

this is going to be expensive but it will be FAST!!! its not right now or anywhere in the near future... its just an idea that i have...

but Nitrous is going to be in the near future... I am thinking of a 50-65 shot... nothing more unless i upgrade the tranny... i dont want to take risks with it.
I want to get a kit that goes on automatically when u got WOT and that has a master switch and that also shuts itself off after about 8-10 sec. of us...

I heard the ZEX kit is not that good... what else do u guys recomend that is "automatic" like the kit i am looking for? and how much does it run?

thanks

SC and NoS will need ECU reprogramming young grasshoppa. I'm assuming you're not going to run < 10 psi with the SC since it seems like you want lots of power.

Anything higher (10 psi) will probably need internal work for your engine also (tis' what I hear from a few people).

ye ye i kno... first thing will definatly have to be a Level 10 rebuild i think too...

first im gonna go with the NOS system... cause its cheaper and thats what i can afford now... hehe

then if i ever can start saving the $$ to get the SC and full Level 10 rebuild thats when i will start with that...

but in the mean time im just gonna go for a 50-60 shot NOS

i gotta find Hogan and see if he can "help me" with the install... hehe

Hey guys just wanna let you guys know that besides the tranny the other thing that isn't up to par if you go beyond a 60 shot is the fuel system. One of my friends have NOS on his 99 Max and he ran the best time of 13.8 @ 101 on the 60 shot. There after I let him use my 70 and 80 shot and he fell back to low 14's. He has since bought the high flow fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. I will update on his improvements as soon as he installs the mods and goes to the track.

I'm interested in NOS too. I want to dip to 15 flat or high 14's. I'm looking for modest boost. If anyone finds a setup that works great for the 5th gen, please let me know.

So you're saying my NOS, twin turbo and supercharger setup will need some engine work? ... damn

I would think that supercharging and turboing at the same time would be just about impossible... but if it is that be one hell of a crazy engine with no turbo lag

Well I did read some time ago about a mfr(can't remember who it was) that developed a prototype with a turbo/supercharger but I guess it never made production since I haven't read anything else on it.

Screw the SC, just use NOS to make up for the lag.

No no no... I said punkdork can use NOS and turbo to get rid of the lag.

I'd definitely pick SC over NOS.

You should be safe with a 50 shot with the auto tranny (solenoid and TCM highly recommended). If you can, get the valvebody recalibration.

with a level 10 rebuild? no he doesnt have one... he just had nissan replace whatever they were replacing with the TSB... he did not have a Level 10 rebuild... if you have one your tranny is basically bullet proof..
