did you ever find the problem?

refresh me, your car accelerated poorly under heavy throttle and low RPM, but better at high RPM/light throttle?

im not sure if i mentioned this in a previous thread, but i might lean toward frewheeling stator.

have you run a stall test?

The problem has not occured since I had changed the leaking oil-catch canister, though for my education, could you tell me how to run the stall test and by freewheeling stator I assume you are talking about torque converter lock up? Thanks...

OK, I found out what the stall test is: The stall test is designed to determine if the engine in a car is drawing air from an unapproved source. Technical officials block the normal air intake of the engine and the engine should then stall. If the engine does not stall, the car fails the test.

If someone knows how to test for torque converter lock up problems feel free to post it here, and I will look it up in the mean time...

Ah, something new I have just learnt, stall test quoted above is for verification if engine is drawing air from sources other than intake but the there is a tranny stall test which involves several steps of identifying which gear is slipping, clutch operations, etc...
