Stillen Short Shifter Owners Please Read
I have the Stillen STS on my 2K1 and love it! Hard to believe we ever drove with the stock stick eh? But I find reverse is sometimes tricky to get into. Anyone else have this problem. Even after pushing the clutch in and out few times doesn't help. Do you think we should use synthetic tranny fluid (excuse my ignorance)?

Yeah, get some Red Line Manual transmission oil for your 5spd and it will shift better.

Usually I find shifting into 3rd before trying reverse helps to "line up" the gears. I do it out of habit at this point and I rarely have a problem getting into reverse gear. Being at a stand still helps too. Having a STS shouldn't make a difference but it does make the efforts a little higher, doesn't it?

Effort is a little higher but it is awesome. The shift from 1st to 2nd is wicked especially when you get it up to 6500-6600rpm and light the tires up on the shift.
Thanks for the info I will try it out today!
