Grinding noise
My max is an auto, so its not the clutch. I'm getting it looked at in thursday morning. if they can't figure it out ill let you know. I really think its a dragging brake pad. i dont think its a cv joint because im not getting a clunk sound its just a metallic gridning and from what my friends heard by walking next to my car as a drive its definitly something in the brakes.
I've just recently been getting a groaning type noise from my rear passenger side. Once I hit 40 it starts and it sound like a jet engine. I've took it to a few shop but no one can figure it out. The noise started when my mom did a 180 in the rain and the car slammed against the curb. Do you guys have any thoughts of what the problem might be. I don't have any braking issues and just that that is sounds like something is rubbing.
thanks for the help

Dam! I found those same exact bearings @ NAPA for $70... and I'm sure the hub could be replaced for cheaper than the Stealership and the same exact part! That bearing R & R by a machine shop approx $40 total. I sure If you would have done this yourself, you'd spend less than $250 total....
Sorry for the late response, but it ended up being the wheel bearing. My mechanic said when he unbolted the hub it fell out in his hand. No more sounds and it as smooth as ever.
