well if he put down 247 with no tune.... and he said nothing about spacers and Vias... I would think a tune should give you somewhere around 10whp or so? I'm learning about all this stuff so forgive me if I seem slower than most.

Good number with these headers.

Do you happen to have the dyno results for this number? I might have missed it somewhere else though...

cool. I'm sure the spacers won't do much top end like they said, but possibly the VIAS will do a little? I'm going to leave my IM stock. I want the power quicker than 6k. Who is doing the re-flash? Any news on the JWT set up?

yeah over friggin $350 seems too much for my pockets.... good to know ppl, (manager and chairman of a sheehy nissan service center, Tech of the same service center) and the same person who did Datdude's headers, so i should be in good hands... try to get an org member close to you, i'm pretty sure if you throw someone on here about $300 bucks, you could get it done

I'm hoping a timing advance, my new spark plugs, a new pully belt, and an 82mm MAF housing will gain me a few more hp. I thought I would be in the 265hp range with my mods instead of 250hp. All of these are pretty cheap to do too.

Well haven't failed yearly inspections for four years now that I have had the headers on, so guess I am ok.

Usually let the car run for a while before I take it to be inspected.

Same here 4-5 years of annual emission test passed, with ypipe, Wsp Ms Cat, Cattman catback and many bolt-ons! Cattman Headers installed now and there will be no problem

No ispections here in OK! Woohoo! Guess they aren't too worried about all the garbage Neons, and Cavaliers with primered body kits and ridiculous wings. I love blowing their doors off...

Quick question... What do you mean when a car runs "rich"? How can you tell? How do you fix it?

My headers go on next month and I want to know this going into it.

Thanks in advance.

Running righ means there's too much fuel. You'll notice by smell, fuel consumption, black smoke. Or in the more severe cases, when you don't have a converter, you'll see liquid fuel dripping out of the exhaust.

A tune is really all you need.

I think I was running rich too, since one of my o2 sensors gave out this year. I finally got a tune this year so should be set.

I'm already tunned! I was 223hp after header install and before tunning. I got 250hp after the tune. I wonder why I was so low! I gained a bunch back after tunning though. My only thoughts were bad spark plugs or the fact that I didnt finish my shelf on my SSIM. My UDP belt is pretty ate up too but I dont think that would matter.

Lol I got codes for all three o2's. I'm gonna get a dual output o2 sim and get another primary o2 and extend the wires so hopefully I wont screw the new one up.

Aren't de-foulers an option? Do they not work? Those seem a little easier to install the the sims...not that either is hard but.

Search for a 82mm Land Rover MAF. You can just swap the sensors. You will need something to tune it with though.

Unclipped and stretched front O2 primary

Rear O2 sensor binding against rack. Its a tight fit between That and sway bar. I gotta get around to installing my O2 simulator.

This is where we shaved the edge of my xmember.

Pretty good. It SCREAMS!!! at 35-4k rpms. Today leaving work every car I passed people turned their heads quick to look at me weird. "LIKE WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" It puts a big grin on my face. Sounds sweet upon start up. May do video later.

i also just installed these headers, but put them on a new motor(non oil burning motor),and its so new that i still need to re-break it in and break the clutch in. ill be making a thread about my findings and such on my oil consumption, as well as the whole motor swap and header install....

How do you "re-break" in a "new" motor? If it is new, you'd be breaking it in.

I think personally those with oil consuming VQ35DEs were self inflected wounds, that didn't allow their engine enough time for break-in and they were accelerating and WOT a bit more to prematurely!

I think I read in another thread that 24 guage is used. No other specs provided, but I'm thinking solder and shrink wrap.
