It can get bad if u don't do anything to dry them out. Can possible corrode the terminals and then rust.

Try putting some sealant around where the two pieces come together on the edge. That should work

I had the same problems. What type of sealant should we be using? Something that can be removed without a mess in the future?

I used clear silicone. The kind you use to seal a glass aquarium. I put the sealer around the clears I got from Autodynamic and have had them on in Seattle for several months with no condensation of any kind.

make sure you dry them out

make sure you dry them out very well before you seal them, or you risk sealing in the moisture. Either put them in an oven at 150-200 degrees for a few hours or use a blowdryer for about 30 minutes each. Worked for me!

You can get the sealant at an autoparts store. As for the the metal prong I think you may be able to bend it back. I know when I looked at mine they looked pretty sturdy.

Is this for the front or rear clear sidemarkers?? My rear passenger marker was wobbly when I installed it, but I put in three small self'stick pads on the back of the marker to fix it. The stock units had a three small rubber pads that the clears didn't have. It fixed the wobble right up....

I'm pretty sure the sealant can be bought at any autoparts store or hardware store...
I think it was 3M or Scotch that makes the selfstick pad - which i got from staples

Just buy silicone sealant at a hardware store or pet store (in the aquarium section). Doesn't matter which brand.

I installed my clears about two weeks ago and have had no problems with moisture whatsoever - and it's rained alot this past week. Did you guys transfer the teal rubber seal on the stock connector into the clears?? Maybe I"m lucky

I think that the moisture is coming in through the edge where the clear plastic meets the opaque plastic though. I sealed mine up when I got them and no problems whatsoever so far. As an added bonus, the silicone helps to releive some of the vertical looseness.

To whomever wants to dry them out...put them in the oven on a low temp for a little while. Hopefully the dry heat will remove most of the moisture. Also, if you can, put some dessicant in a cup in the oven too...that'll help.
