Yes, the wiring is adequate for aftermarket head units.

YES me too. I have an 02 SE loaded with all black leather heated seats steering wheel etc. ofcurse BOSE system too. my HU says bose my stock bose subwoofer says bose and the speakers says bose when i took them out, everything bose and i didnt use any adaptor to it. just wired in my sony cdx-gt72w for a year then to a pioneer deh-9800bt ofcurse with the factory wires wire harness and attenna adaptor for almost a year now and its still in there with a single mtx 8500 sub. everything works, all bose tweets and what not. i took out the front bose speaker and replaced them with some 6.5 mtx's useing the original bose wires from the bose amp. idk why some people have probs with the bose system.

on my previous 00 SE it also came with bose as well but with cloth seats this time and without comfort package, but anyways with that one i also didnt use any adaptor other than wire hareness and attenna. beleaive me or not
