How Long Does It Take to Break In!

Installed the ES motor mounts and subframe bushings about 2 weeks ago... The steering wheel has a little bit of vibration in it...and I reinstalled the rear rubber subframe bushing to see if the vibration would reduce because of the softer rubber bushings and just a little. I'll reinstall the front subframe Oem rubber bushings to see what the vibration feels like....

The ES motor mounts, even when fully broken in, will always pass on more vibration. It's a bit of a trade off between vibration and performance.

They will soften up a little over time. It's hard to put a time on it since it happens gradually. Drive with them for a few months and see how they feel. I don't even notice the vibration any more and love the tighter feel. You can always take them out but give them a chance.

I also installed mine about two weeks ago. The vibration is normal.

It's not really that bad only a slight vibration at start up (the starter torque), cold idle, and slightly at idle once warmed up. My 03 auto is still silk smooth at idle it just transmits a little vibration into the rear view mirror and steering wheel! I love the mod the engine when torque tested moves about 1/4"-1/2. I'll reinstall the rear ES subframe bushing in about a month and it should be a little looser. But the thing really hooks up a lot better now from the few test launches I've done on the street...Less Drama!!!...My Oem Electronic front mount was bad anyway so no biggie on that...They're in there to stay!

I also just installed mine recently (about 3 weeks ago). They might have broken in a little bit, but most likely it's me who has broken in (got used to them). The vibration almost doesn't bother me anymore except in some situations.

When I press in the clutch when driving with the revs high, the revs tend to drop a bit low (450 RPM or so) and then come back up to regular idle. It's at those moments when the vibrations are the worst.

Also when parked on a sloped surface with the front end higher than the back, my hood rattles a lot at idle. If I step out of the car and touch it, the rattling stops. I'm gonna have to stick some sort of insulation under there to get the rattling to stop.

Same as metalpiotr, when my AC is on and at idle it tends to vibrate the car.
