Questions about HID Highs and Fogs
I wanted to go with 4300k HIDs in the highs and fogs, but I wanted to know if it was a pain to install or if it was basically PnP? I looked and I didn't see anything on it, I only found threads on putting our HIDs into the 5th gens.
Also, where is a good place to get them from? I would be a little hesitant to order from eBay, unless there are people here who have a specific seller they used and were happy with everything. I saw this place, don't know if anyone has any experience with VVME or not...

I'm just looking to get a little help so I don't have to waste money on a crappy HID kit. Thanks.

There really shouldnt be a problem with the HID fogs.. i have them they were pnp. I hardest part was being under the car.. lol..
As for HID highs, I would assume pnp just like the rest..

I'm looking to go through the group deal through Umnitza, their service is great and I'm sure they'll stand behind their product. I think I'm gonna go with 55w in both.
Any confirmation on the HID highs?

I had a bad experience with umnitza, he keeps wanting me to send back the stuff I bought at my expense. Personally I'd go with the kits that operatic is selling. Cost a little more but at least they work.
here's a pic of my 3k fogs from umnitza

I bought this kit for 100 US, the bulbs gave a different output so I paid 30 bucks to ship them back. about 6 weeks later I got this set. I then bought a relay harness to see if that would help. As you can see neither light is 3k. I was told to ship it back again. So if I did that it would be 100 US plus 60CDN for the kit. **** it, I'll buy something else next time

Don't do HIDs in your high beams unless you're planning on aiming them down and leaving them on all the time.. I don't think it's healthy for HID bulbs to be continuously turned on and off.
You'd be better off just getting yellow-colored bulbs for your high beams. They should already be plenty bright. That's just my opinion, though.

I've also decided to go with the 35w fog lights because I don't want anything to melt or anything
As far as HIDs in your fogs, you should be safe. I've been running 3000ks without a problem.
hid highs are pretty pointless unless you live in the sticks and drive through the woods all the time at night where there are deer or moose or w/e lol... dont waste your money or your time,.. go pick up some high quality bulbs.. silverstar or whathave you.. ~25 bucks..
hid fogs are great.. i bought mine at 5000K ,.. couldnt find 4300 at the same price level... they were the cheap ebay kit.. maybe like 60 bucks.. and they work great and and match almost perfectly once the headlights warm up....oh and BTW i didnt get the mini bulbs so i had to push my glare shield up agains tthe glass to make the bulb fit....

Anyone use a HID conversion kit in the standard (stock) headlight housing? If so, how was the light output?
Anyone buy from here? (they are running an ad on this forum)

Operatic's stuff is Great for the Price, and his SERVICE is top-notch!!
As for HID's in the Hi-Beams: I'd probably steer clear as well....you REALLY are getting-into improper reflector assembly issues when you take on that beast.
LOVE my HID fogs...but make SURe you get the H3-c's: mini-bulbs.
I have HID Hi-Beams in my m-cycle, and they don't like being switched on/off rapidly AT ALL!! --let alone the glare I'm throwing--!
crap -- I think that makes me a SQUID!!!!

if you want super bright high beams, grab some 150W halogens made by mtec, you won't be disappointed. it's what I use in my car. And who cares about color matching? you have to turn them off way before anyone will notice. These have a lifetime warranty on them, sned them back for free replacement...

The best high beams I've used were Piaa's but they were only IIRC 110w...They were pretty good and really illuminated far up ahead with no problem! I will try these and I will check if they offer lower wattage with higher lumens as well...

How long does your High beams stay on? The harness can handle it! It's only used 5% of the time even at night! My Piaa 110w I had for years until my car was in the body shop they came up missing! Accuse me Nissan dealership body shop!!!!
