It wasn't like that. :-) Someone was wondering what the point was in doing an equal-length rear downpipe on a y-pipe, and pointed me at this thread because it was part of the discussion.

Once again, I see no point in an extra 500+ instal for the non diy for a tone less raspy. Get a resonator. At least for the ones of us not banking over nothing. And the "you get what you pay for" crap, i never believed. I want to keep this focused on cars. However I just had to stretch the brand Apple in this. Their "apple" name brand laptops and desk tops which have the same if not less applications and data as any top quality dell, hp, or w.e it may be for 400-600 less... Point taken. You get what you PAID for. Period. If you choose to buy something w.o doing the research on it and get screwed over, that's on you. However going in the autoparts store and buying the most expensive parts just because they are the most expensive, once again.. point taken.

Yeah I see 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 5.5's, 6th, 6.5's & 7th's on a regular basis.... But since you really wanna be a smarty pants....The 1st gen Exel was 1985-1989, and the 2 gen was 1990-1994.... Hell I still see 2nd gen Maxima rolling (85-88) hard...and since the most Exels were the Mitsubishi powered 1990-94 1.5L 4 cyl I haven't seen one running on the street in along time! But yeah 1st gen Maximas (1981-84) and Cressidas are still seen here in Houston cruising and cruising looking good most of time and a few crap buckets here and there but no Hyundai Exels.....You get what you pay for.....Brand new....1-2nd yr....4yr on!!!!!Get It

The original Maxima evolved from the short-lived 810, if I remember correctly. I remember them both coming out! Don't forget the Maxima diesel.
