Engine noise
Engine noise
I found this video on you tube witch relates to the same sound thats coming from my endine. Does anyone know if this is a problem with the timing chain? What causes this to happen? This sound keeps coming back to me at 3000 to 3500k miles after an oil change. I check my oil level and its fine. No leaks, and it doesn't burn oil, so what can it be? Any ideas, Thanks.

Most likely the cam phasors (VTC), which is normal if it quickly disappears. It may be related to the timing chain guides, but I don't know enough about them to draw that conclusion.
Does the noise go away within 5-10 seconds of a start-up, or does it persist?
