Cattman 3" Catback Exhaust - Order Here!
I've had mine (NWP Spacers) for awhile and It's that time to install them.....I'll be ordering 2 gaskets for the TB flange, 2 more gaskets for the intake neck flange and depending how the upper IM flange gasket is designed maybe 2 of those too....which will limit just the spacers between the head and the lower IM to use RTV only.....all the other spacers will have gaskets for sealing and making it a hair longer! I come across a spacer kit for a SR20DET and amazingly it's spacers have double gaskets (Outlaw Engineering) for each spacer......pretty interesting how they did theirs...

No you still have to seal them in using RTV.....I'll prefer to use double gaskets where ever I can.....except for the lower IM to head gasket due to it's design......read the install instruction on the NWP page....
I think CMAx is 'addding' actual gaskets for a little added volume and more distance from metal to metal.
And you're right, as per Aaron;s instructions, they are not required, just a little RTV is all I used.

Those spacers are the best. They're my favorite performance mod for the price. I got them before headers/fastcat/3" catback and still love what they do... probably my biggest complaint with my Maxima was the huge performance loss in the summer as soon as the engine heated up on a hot day. Thanks to Aaron and his spacers, the performance loss in the heat is far less. Oh, and I love my Cattman setup. 3" catback is amazing. I just wish it didn't have to go UNDER my car where no one can see it
Oh, and Rods03Max619, do you have a Block-off Plate? (just curious)

^^^Just a hair less than your wait!^^^ As for the NWP spacers using gaskets with the spacers is more on the reliable side than RTV....the gaskets will provide me a cleaner more consistant seal. The gasket will IMO be more durable than RTV. So the only spacer that will get RTV on it will be the spacer between the head and the lower IM...reducing the chances of an intake leak! This is another company that supplies gaskets with their spacers to make installation troublefree and clean!

Yep, and actually you are supposed to not use gaskets since they are not port matched like aarons spacers and as a result you won't get all the gains. How much you'll Los I don't think anyone really knows
I/A/W NWP instructions the gasket between the head and the lower IM were restrictive interfering in the air flow.....I won't be using a gasket in that location....No big deal guys I'm just doing my thing to decrease the chances of an air intake leak and the gaskets will be trimmed and the ports will be massaged a little from the TB to the Intake side of the head, so yall can carry on don't really worry about what I'm doing.....I thought it was an interesting point that Outlaw Engineering actually includes gaskets with their penolic spacers( which is better IMO)....and NWP suggest we use RTV......So if you had a choice between a high quailty gasket vs RTV on a traditional oil pan ( I realize our VQ uses RTV) what would you prefer? It's really well understood that a properly installed gasket will outlast RTV which first sign of failure are oil staining along the mating lines....Carry on guys too what yall are doing....I'll be fine!
3" Cattman Catback just got back from around trip from Houston to Lafayette and back to Houston....and wow it was really very decent and quiet with the 3" cone insert installed....70 mph was pleasant....75 mph quiet and 80+ mph super quiet.....my 5yr sleep going there the entire trip Friday night. My 5 yr old daughter sleep the entire way back and my Wifey woke up near South Houston (Galena Park)...It was really fun to drive and with just a small throttle tip-in 100 mph was effortlessly obtainable.....
Just hit Cattman up to see where my exhaust is he said should be getting picked up in a minute and everybody should get a e-mail for tracking info he said some have already got shipped out but I'm not one of them but still should get it on Friday and ordered one of those Rear Sway Bars by Progress from him!!

When i can't get them all out in one day, I ship the farthest ones first (east coast and midwest), and closer addresses the next day (western US). Earliest arrivals are tomorrow (Friday); most of the others arrive Monday/Tuesday.

BTW, I have at least three 3" systems available (one has an O2 port for an 00 Federal Max or a wide-band sensor), as well as:
- FastCats (in stock)
- 00 Federal and 00/01 Cali y-pipes (in stock, and I can make an 02/03 right away)
- 00-03 Maxima header/y-pipe sets in production right now.
Send a PM or call if interested.
