Eastern or Bosal PRECAT??

I am getting the dreaded P0430 on my OBDII scanner. Having a rattle under acceleration and know I have to replace my precat 170,000 miles. I have been reading for several hours many threads about this code. I am confused about which one would be an easier direct fit for me. The Eastern precat or Bosal or neither? I also ordered the nissan part #'s 20822-3y110 and 20840-3y110 cap/wiremesh. Can someone please help me before I order the precat? Thanks....

Eastern will fit fine without the gasket. I could not get the precat and manifold to mate up with the OEM gasket installed. I had zero leaks without the gasket.

Mine is hella cloggedbthe front one bouts to gut it tomorrow and call it a day instead of buying one since I should still pass emissions with the fastcat and a new rear one already but if get a CEL will be buying one, if no CEL a step closer to Cattman Headers....

I'm going to install a dual O2 sim first to make sure it works for m before I do anything. No rollers here, they just check for codes.

Scott I'm in Houston and I've been running Headers on everything I own...86.5 Hardbody (No more rollers it's an Antique now), 1990 Maxima VG30 (headers, cams, ecu, intake, ignition and passed emission rollers with ease), 2003 Maxima (headers for 3-4 yrs no problems)! I'll knock o wood but I've never failed a emission test ever!!!!

Just want to be on the safe side, hate to gut the cats or put headers on the car and then find out for some reason O2 sims won't work for me.

They will work!!!!! there's no difference it's fooling the ECU with a signal in place of the secondary sensors regardless as to what you're exhaust setup is....."GUT THEM"

So if I just gut the front will it trigger a CEL I see the 02 sensor on the manifold, is there one after the pre cat also underneath the heatshied. Don't want to gut the rear will sell that only got like 20000 miles on it bought it brand new from Nissan when I failed smog and it was more than the Cattman Headers I was pisses...since nothing online would ship to Cali...but Magnaflow has a 50 state legal I found for 250 I was like sh1 t where was this 2 years ago....
