Installing a Pac Swi-ps

Heys fellas, Im changing my bose radio to a sony hu but im confused with the directions on installing the pac swi-ps so i can keep my steering wheel controls. I have 2002 maxima. I haven't pulled out the stock radio as yet, just I was reading the instructions on the pac swi-ps and it says to use 150 ohm resistor and use a 47 ohm resistor. When i checked online to make sure the instructions were correct, it doesn't say anything about using the 47ohm resistor. I'm asking anyone out there who installed this, which is the correct way.

Instructions Included wit the interface http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductD...ons_061407.pdf

Instructions online: http://www.pac-audio.com/SWI/SWIAppG...s=Base%20Radio

Follow the online instructions. They supercede the printed ones. I did use two resistors if I remember correctly in my '03. You might want to solder them for reliability and then use heatshrink tubing. good luck!

Mightt be a dumb question...but why are ppl still using the PAC unit that you have to wire resistors into the install vs using the Axxess ASWC model?

I used this module in my new 2010 F150 with a Pioneer z110bt and it works awesome...no lag...alsoway works flawlessly.

When you use the 2 resistors, was it the same directions that came with the pac?

Yeah! Even do some google searches between the two, and you'll see some ppl chucked their PAC unit for the Axxess one. I'm actually putting a kenwood navb unit in my 03 max, and i ordered the Axxess unit since it worked so well in my Ford truck!
