Best Sunshade

Okay so this may seem like an odd question, but is there a high quality sun visor tailored for the Maxima or at least one you guys would recommend? I live in San Antonio where it gets stupid hot and its just insane how the heat will destroy your car here. Its really crucial to keep the sun off of it when you can and I'm lucky my interior is still a 9.5/10 and I'd like to keep it that way.

So, I'm open to suggestions for a good fitting and quality sunvisor.

I've never been one for customization but the visor seems like one thing that would be easy to make and would pay many dividends in terms of fitting exactly and giving you exactly what you want for not much effort.

Exactly. I really figured there would be someone out there that makes one that fits our cars well. I'm tired of the cheapy, flimsy, and ugly sunshades I've used in the past.

Covercraft, maybe?

I don't have one, but... custom fit, firm folded panels, reflective side and a felt-covered side. Sounds nice for $50 shipped. I'll have to remember this for my next car.

I found these as another possible option. Includes window shades for the front doors and these are custom fit per application. Looks like similar pricing to the Covercraft. The Covercraft is priced at $47.99 and those on Ebay are $59.99 but to include the extra two door pieces.

Get the fitted one for a 00-03 Maxima from Courtesy Parts or if Dave B can send you one. It fits perfectly, keeps the car cool and interior safe from sunlight. I bought mine a while back so I don't remember the cost.

What do you suppose is keeping the side-window shades up?

I'll definitely have to look into that one. Thanks!

Oh yes, I think its right around 20% or so on the door windows and 15% out back.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing myself. Only thing I can think of is either some sort of hooks or elastic straps, foldable edges so that it rests on its own, or possibly even the window rolling up and pinching it itself.

I've seen this magical Infiniti sunshade on PuddleLight's car... it's really quite amazing. Nissan should have offered it in the Maxima.

Both my mom and dad have an I30 and I35 respectively. They almost always use the rear shade especially since they don't have any tint on their windows.

Sadly the passenger side still isnt resting against the glass, will have to look into that.

Well that's definitely priced competitively. I was really wanting the folding style but I may go that route.
