You can keep your 4th gen bcm. A few connectors will have to be spliced in but it's a lot more simple than re wiring whats under the dash.
Ok, so this is what we call a front chassis harness, that's at work, I can yank that no big deal.

It has the fuse box attached to it, amirite?

Ah good good. Ok.

So my 3.5 plans change yet again

Or ditch the stock ecu and have the car run on the haltech. lol

The way I did it is because i had a complete 5.5 gen maxima for parts. So instead of me cutting wires and stuff, I just swapped over the engine harness, the engine bay harness, and under the dashboard harness. That way I was able to plug in the 5.5 cluster and the nats system. The car fired right up.

Can't afford that, rather use the extra $500 for other things and get a emerald K6 ecu.

Let's just say, he'll be buying me a new one and having them mounted at a shop.

I figured as much but I needed to hear it. This is pushing me to just get an safc/vafc and at least make some adjustments to get some more gains from what I already have. It's just lack of knowledge that stops me from getting into something new right now. and I'll need to get a WB welded in and have the wires run into the cabin and setup the equipment somewhere and make adjustments on the fly.

ever thought about trying to track down a TS ecu? There are very rare now, but if you find that it will be more than worthwhile. It waill cost you about the same amount as some good headers but you wont have to pay for installation. At the most, you just have to pay the dealer to reprogram the ecu.

The dealership I used to work at used these all the time. When you're handling expensive wheels on cars that cost 6 figures, you don't want to fck up one of those wheels.
