The author of this thread is not a representative or go between for Brian. You must contact Brian at Cattman for such quote and to calculate shipping to your address. Withiu looking, I'm certain Brian's contact info is provided in the original post, certainly on the first page.

Yeah, it showed up back on my statement like a week later. I guess my bank was "protecting" me to make sure it wasnt an unauthorized charge. Now I'm just counting down the days until I have the exhaust sitting in front of me

The most important news to post right now is:
1) This batch of catbacks is coming along nicely and could be finished in as soon as 2 weeks.
2) There are still a few units available, so stop kicking yourself in the butt for not ordering before now, this can still be done!

Sounds like we are roughly ten days or so from having these shipped to us! Man, I wish i had the available funds to go do a before/after dyno. I want to see how much power this baby truly adds, but I guess I will have to just see the final results sometime later this spring.

It's all I can think about! I love all of your soundclips, and the others I've heard on youtube, but I need to hear it with my own ears on my own vehicle! It feels like forever ago that I got in on this, but the end is near haha. Make sure you've got the funds because they're coming out tomorrow

Yep, we sell the resonator section only. The resonator itself is 5" x 21", with tapered ends. We've sold three that will be going out with this batch of headers, and I have materials on hand to make 4-5 more. Just give us a call if interested. I've been trying to figure out a fair price. Price will be $275 + shipping. Of course its a bolt-in unit, ready to install, with no room for exhaust shop mischief.
"Just a resonator"? Nope, like every other exhaust part we make, there are critical differences between the Cattman version and what you would buy anywhere else; this is not something that could be purchased off the shelf. The resonators available in stores or online are cheap junk compared with the way our unit is fabricated - especially the quality and quantity of fibreglass used. One year later, the others will be louder because the cheap, loose fibreglass moves around too much, fractures, and gets slowly blown out the tailpipe over time. We pound in a lot of very high quality German fibreglass intended for motorcycle mufflers, that doesn't move around, doesn't fracture easily and ours will sound the same or better, even several years later.
Remember that a universal resonator will have to be welded in - and in most shyster exhaust shops that means someone will be taking a plasma cutter to your Cattman exhaust, and the only thing that's guaranteed is that the changes won't be done as well as the original fabrication. Ugly MIG welding that intrudes into the tubing and a very high likelihood that the work on the resonator will misalign the entire system, creating a rattling mess.
Alarmist? No, not at all, I've seen it happen too many times. Your car is at extreme risk any time you pull into an exhaust (or transmission) shop.

Your car is more at risk pulling out onto a road than into a professional shop any day of the week.
Did BRM stop building them to order?

WTF? Really? LOL. Nice try trying to scare your customers. I know you are trying to sell your product but spreading FUD isn't the way to do it.

I agree, it feels like he knows his parts are wicked expensive, and that's why he feels the need to down grade the competition.

Cattman doens't make this stuff he has another shop do it. He just is the middle man. You are paying the raw material distributor's margin + shops margin + his which is why everything is so pricey. Good quality but expensive.
BRM prices:
3" Aluminized without resonator is $390
3" Aluminized with 14'' resonator is $460
3” Stainless Steel with 14'' resonator is $560 Stainless is guaranteed for as long as you own the car.
Shipping to the 48 states is $45

Their prototype I can't find a production picture:
BRM has been around ALOT longer than cattman making exhausts for Nissans

I'm quite fond of the Ebay specials, I've bought one for every car I've owned, (SS of course) and I've never had a problem with fitment, or a problem with shipping, and I never felt like I was taken advantage of by the cost.

Good luck with brm then. He was referring to your car being at risk by shoddy exhaust welders, comparing that to risks driving into traffic is completely pointless. People already know his stuff is pricey, but countless people before have nothing but positive things to say about his work and his customer service. He can downgrade competitors when they don't take the care or time into the craftsmanship like he does. This thread is for interested buyers or people (like me) who had no issue putting up the money for this exhaust. Bash him and his products elsewhere
