Judging by the prices of been seeing on illuminas I'd say Koni may well be the best way to go. Glad I got my illuminas when I did. How hard was the install 1 to 5 5 being expert ??

Maybe a 3...not referring to the installation, but the buildup of the front struts and all the reworking necessary to fit the application....the installation is like any other strut once it's build up!

And yes the price was lower than the Illuminas and easier to get (TireRack)....I just hope they're just as reliable even though they are lifetime warrantied

Here is a couple pics so you can see width of pipe. It's a lot harder to hold everything and be centered so the measurements look right I did my best it's 3" though.

It's aluminized to so you have to take that into consideration. I could've done stainless but I didn't think necessary and it's much heavier. The stainless would've been 30 to 50 dollars more. It's not that thin either you can believe what you may I'd be looking for stuff to pick apart to if I paid all that money for a catback😀

What the f8k is wrong with you?

Comparing a aluminum exhaust setup to a Cattman stainless steel exhaust setup?

I never compared my setup to Cattmans. Never said mine was better. Said I made a 3" setup for myself that cost much less. Even said in the begining it was alum.

I'm not the best picture guy so sorry for that. You can see though all mandrel bent pipes. Washed the car but didn't feel like taking a bath so I left the underside alone.

seems like pipe sections that slid into one other? or sections that were welded.
lets see how bad your welds are. this looks good as far i see. what muffler did you end up using? Have a pic of it assembled on ground before it went in?

Sorry no picture of before install. Yes sections were welded, and I already said my welds are no where near the as pretty as what other people can do. I didn't have access to a tig welder so sorry they're a little ruff. As of right now I have a cheap muffler on but I think I'm leaning towards a supper 44. I purposely welded a flange on the end of muffler and first pipe so I could easily swap mufflers. I have no lift so this was all done on ramps.

Finally have a chance to put in the upper oil pan.

Which direction does this thing go in?
Do I put it in dry or what?

The FSM (EM16) says "Apply sealant to front cover gasket and rear oil seal retainer gasket." Removing this pan is quite a job. So, I am just wondering: Why did you remove it in the first place?

Brake pads

I tried to change the brake pads. They sent me the wrong brake pads. Ug, why do suppliers always send me the wrong parts!

Jumped in this morning and discovered a faint stench coming from my air vents. Its too weak to know for sure, but it smells similar to the yummy stench of mouse droppings. Im nervous as to what ill find when i investigate this weekend

^^ Set up a mouse trap in the driver seat footwell with sum foods for the lil fella, the mouse will get caught.

And if not just make sure to forget you set it there and go for a drive, get your feet caught in the mouse trap and have mouse run away from your screams of agony....

One of those two should work

Got my 3" BRM exhaust fully installed - and ditched the cat (because I couldn't afford 3" at the moment... how much could it hurt? ). Gotta say, I love it, but BRM's system is definitely loud. I gave it a resonating test pipe which is alright. Will be working on sound proofing the interior a little better here in the next month, especially since I had planned to, already having a sound system. The drone isn't extremely bad, but it may just take some adjusting to since I've been so quiet all along.

Pushing back my transmission upgrades again
