New alternator, belt, while it was on the life I gunked, and pressure washed the whole underside CLEAN. Downside is that my shop is pretty nice and now I have to clean the floor. Sucks. Also rerouted the nitrous line to make it a little longer as I want to mount my solenoids inside the airbox.

Just finished changing my power steering pressure hose, removal was 20 mins tops . sensors weren't swapped reinstallation took about 1/2 hour since sensor wasn't removed. That's a total of about roughly an hour r&r, tell me why I wasted an additional 4 hours trying to get that short 10mm screw to catch the center bracket . I tried everything then looked around and found a longer screw with the same thread pitch that fits and that was it. Lesson learned everything was fairly easy including banjo bolt removal and reinstallation. Lost 2 sockets back there somewhere I'm not going back in there for them.

Anyone else?

Anyone else replace their stock incandescents with LEDs? Every single one in my car is, love how it works but getting sick of people and cops thinking I have dead or broken blinker bulbs because they flash fast and the dash front/taillight out light being on every time the lights are on. The struggle lol.

I'm the most picky person you'll ever meet when it comes to washing my car. None of these places meet my standards, I'll have to go any buy a bunch of stuff now.

Can't justify washing it with the same bristles that washed mud off of someones 4x4.

Thanks!

I'd love to say I cleared them but I didn't. They're just clean and that is simply caranuba wax.

Haha I am in VA but nowhere near your neck of the woods. Lucky you.

But really I'm jealous how pristine that looks. Mines suffered too many battle scars (previous owner!)

^Stalker

I'm in WV now, you can't find me there

Thanks for the compliments, mine has a smallish dent and some scratches on passenger side door from previous owner (his vision was bad, to say the least)...I'm gonna get it fixed one day and paint, then again I'd probably paint the whole car fresh at that point

I really like the fog set up, tnj. The extra lights look really good. Any more detailed pics/install pics?

Today I've been driving my Max back up I65 from Florida to Indianapolis, returning from Spring break. I've seen a few fancy 5th gens on the ride, but a ton of 6th and 4th gens. Got my rad support fixed before the trip and that's looking great. Everything else is holding up great on this trip too. Got some bad fuel in Florida though - oddly enough. The car ran really sluggishly. Lets just say that stopped with a fresh tank in Alabama- but now I've got new spark plugs and NWP spacers waiting at home since I thought plugs might be the issue and needed an excuse for spacers.

Didnt take pics of install but il get more pics of lights at night, they're super bright. 27w signstek square LED lights can be found on amazon, connected to respective factory foglight and highbeam wires. Had to take off bumper to find mounting positions for lower grill and mounted upper highs to metal frame attached to body for upper grill.

Today was my first day back from vacation in Florida, so I had a lot to do. Did an oil change/filter change, then scrubbed the bugs off my front bumper which took a long while. Went ahead and installed the rubber dampeners onto the top of the headlights since it's warm enough for the adhesive to work now. I had never seen anyone post pictures of these installed, so I figured I'd post some. There's soap all over the car, and I know the headlights are super foggy. The pieces are hardly noticeable, but they do add some support to the gap that's noticeable. I haven't driven hard enough to notice any changes though, not that I expected much of anything.

---

I also got the shift boot and e-brake boot I ordered from redline while I was away and put those in as well. None-mechanical installs are up my alley since it's easy for me not to break anything important, which I seem to be exceptionally good at. I have an auto, so I added some pictures of what I did with the internals on the 02. I removed the LED from the socket and removed the cover paneling before installing the boot. I also made sure to secure the wires since I didn't want any potential rattles. The boot is secured with the edge of the trim that fits on top of it and 2 pieces of gorilla tape. I also added some tape under the trim that fits over the lip of the piece that has the ashtray and lighter in it so that it wouldn't move around since it was a bit loose. I'm really liking the way these look in the car. I prefer cloth seats, but leather accents look really nice, and these are fantastic.

^ You put a boot on your auto shifter? Who are you gonna fool with that one?

What about the auto gear selector lights in the dashboard?

Those are next! I don't need to fool anyone though. I like my auto. I may feel like the chick in the jetta commercial when I give it some gas, but at least I can eat a burrito and race around at the same time.

Beats the old scratched shift panel I had with the auto though. I will miss the grime and crud that fell in there too, including the diabetic test strips I found underneath of it from the previous owner.

Those are nice and bright! I was just looking at either installing LED taillight assemblies from Xtralights or just upgrding the Bulbs to 7443/7440 LED 550 lumens /48 led tower/360*....Are you using white or red LED's for the taillights? I also found the Map light LED since it's not listed as to what bulb goes in the MAP lights they're BA9's....

Went weather strip crazy today and did the window wind noise reduction mod. I also weather stripped my glove box and around the aftermarket dvd player so no more in cabin rattle

Yeah- did the rear last week with the 6gen valve cover. Pulled a p0021 & p0011 a few days later. I thought the oil got a little dirty from the work so I did an oil flush and went with Mobile1 this time (I've ran Valvoline full synthetic since I've had the car).

SES Light was still there but car ran much smoother. I was worried about to having replace the Intake Valve Timing solenoids. So I bit the bullet and brought the car to Nissan. They cleared the code and said everything looks OK- other than the leaky front valve cover. Light has not come back since (knock on wood). Also did a brake fluid flush- immediate difference in braking.

I replaced the faulty tie rod. Had an alignment today and plan to replace the front engine valve cover (with the 6gen) next week.

Hemorrhaging money so far this year, but the car is running tip top- 3rd gear barks consistently on newish rubber.

This summer I hope to get a piggyback tuner/tune and HFC and better resonator (provided I have no more maintenance issues). And a hardcore detail day.
