murano engine compatibility

Is this a direct swap? i'm looking into the next most direct swap that didn't come from an 02-03 maxima/i35. i figure they must've made them at least a little better after 03. when i enter murano in the search on car-part.com i have a lot more to choose from plus the engine's are newer, lesser km's and same price.

i was reading this thread https://maxima.org/forums/all-motor/...it-my-car.html and it seems 03-07 murano's have the same internal egr, so the same intake manifold. however when you scroll down, the oil pan compatibility isn't confirmed and aakshun only lists it from 03-06, what happened in 07? i checked on ebay for a murano oil pan and other fwd 3.5 applications where interchangeable so i assume its the same? he says there might be and exhaust clearance issue can someone confirm or help me out here?

also, other than the upper oil pan is there anything else that would need to be swapped when getting an auto vq into my 6spd?

To bolt up the 6 speed transmission you only need the upper oil pan and CPS. I am not sure about the differences in the engine though.

I'm assuming the oil pans are the same, but to exercise caution I put that statement in there. A Murano motor has been swapped into an 02 before, I just don't recall what we did if we just dropped it in or not.
Also the part #'s for the oil pan are different in 07, again, just being cautious.

Besides potentially swapping the upper oil pans you will not need to do anything else to get it to work.

Try it our! Post results! I'll update my thread!

Is the knock sensor different like on the 6th gen?

Also the junk chain guides (and from what I read the chains may be defective in design, too).
