5th gen grounding kit install

Hey guys,

I need your help. I just bought a grounding kit and wanted to know if I should ground the wires the way the instructions says or does it matter where it goes. I'm trying to avoid removing my air box for one of the wires install.

Thanks

Follow the instructions

Removing airbox is SUPER EASY. Just don't drop it

When I purchased the grounding kit, I received instructions on where to install the wires. That's why I asked if it mattered when they go

I bought a 4 piece kit from ebay. There was only one person selling this kit for the 5th generation max.

My dashboard got darker over the years. How do I tell - without taking it apart - whether it's the lamp/led or poor grounding?

Nah, it doesn't matter where they go. Forget the included instructions too, they're worthless. Just ziptie the eyelits of each cable to make one long cable and hook them up whichever way looks best.

Seriously though....

Wow, I sell the kit and then I get criticized on my instructions. That is where the starter ground goes. It is one of the most important parts of the install. Just Pleeeeeeeeze do not ground the starter lead. You could potentially kill someone doing that. Good luck.

I just installed his kit this weekend also. No issues whatsoever. It's a good kit and the instructions couldn't be any better.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can this kit really help with everything that it says it can? I find it hard to believe that a $25-$50 grounding kit can have such an impact on my electrical system.

Or are the grounds I have currently way more deteriorated than I realize?

It seems like a totally worthwhile investment if it truly does what he says it does. Not much money for some good returns.

Most likely, especially since you live in a cold winter climate. A grounding kit should make a noticeable difference.

I don't think anyone is criticizing your instructions. Just one numbnut who doesn't grasp the concept of instructions and why they're included.

Are you the Ebay seller he was referring to?

Yeah, I just looked into it (using the search function) for about the last fifteen minutes and the general consensus is that it's a good idea. Everyone who's bought it says that they would recommend it.

Next time I'll use the search function BEFORE asking my question

I just asked a simple question and it gets blown out of proportion. My purpose of asking was to get additional information. that's what the forum is for, Right?
I might not be knowledgeable about imports since this is my first maxima and i've been around muscle cars my whole life. I joined the forum to know my car, so that when I ask questions I can relay them over to others that would need my/our help.

thank you for those who replied without being sarcastic and as for Shinjiduo, I look forward to installing your product. thanks!

Don't sweat it dude, this forum is full of a bunch of guys that think installing a radio or an air filter makes them some kind of internet mechanic and if you ask a question then you are just a noob dumbass.

If the kit helps you car, it just means that your factory grounds are dirty, corroded, not that it needed more grounds. Good luck.

Please enlighten me. What additional information did you receive? To follow the included instructions?

Your initial post was based purely on you not grasping how grounding kits work, otherwise I doubt you'd ask if you could be lazy and not remove your air box.

I'm question was if it mattered there they go. I've seen different instructions with different mounting locations. I understand and can follow the instructions. My questions was for information not installation help.
