2k vs 2k2 bose

I have a 2000 Maxima with Bose, and it sounds amazingly better than my 2002 Maxima with Bose. When you turn up the volume on the 2k2 the bass fades, and the treble gets scratchy and low. On my 2k if you turn it up the bass gets stronger and treble sounds great. Anyone know why, and if I could swap 2k Bose into my 2k2?

Thanks, Austin

imo I think it's the headunit because a friend of mine has a 2002 and I have a 2000 and his stock Bose unit wouldn't have enough treble and bass fades just as you said ,when it's turned up and we recently changed it to a poineer double din and it sounds great now just like my 2000 with stock headunit

If I replace the Bose head unit on my 2k2 would I have to replace all the speakers? or would I still be able to use the Bose speakers? Asking because bose is kinda their own lol

VQ35MAXIMA did you get around on doing the swap yet? Post your results for future visitors. I also was thinking of buying a head unit to see how it'll impact the sound let us know bro.
