I think technology is a bit past the CD changer's time, but if that's what you want to do, it's all up to you.

Might be an important note to add what head unit you've got, and what CD Changer you want to add.

I did read that mounting the CD Changer can be tricky since it seems the thing can only really fit in the trunk, and you have to wire it back there.

It's a plastic plate that plays like 7 songs but be careful
because if it gets scratched, it won't play anymore, or dirty.
so clean them with a microfiber cloth only. Lightly though because they scratch ez.

So huffing on them and rubbing them on my jeans is not the best?

The only reason I bought my 2006 Nissan Maxima is because it still had a cassette player in it.
Now if I can only find a 8 track player
Really I do still play my cassettes but at last it's time to move on....
The factory installed 6 CD changer is a piece of junk so now it's time to get a hold of Crutchfield and pick out a new player.....now I just have to learn about MP3

I see the logic in this.......kinda. Nothing wrong with collecting actual discs. The quality is better than most streaming services and bootlegged digital content. I guess the difficult part for you is finding a decent changer in 2015. I don't know how many are still being made and what the support will be for them.

If i were you, id probably find the best CD changer on the market from like 2008-09 and start there. The aftermarket technology from then shouldn't be too bad.

Plus every stereo made to this day looks like complete trash.
Nothing looks better then the stock unit under $1,000

They all look like you're at a riced out car show.
blinding blue red and green lights ultra cheap shinny plastic.

A 14 year old designs this garbage.

^^^ No sir!!! I far prefer a physical disc to digital download. I'd rather choose my digital quality when ripping rather than get what I get through a service. I have purchased music through iTunes but wish I had never done so since now it's tied to Apple devices unless I burn a CD and then re-rip. I might as well take a dump on the sound quality if I'm gonna do that.

majority of the music I download has pretty good quality at 320kbps. but older unpopular stuff will be like 128kbps usually.

one thing I hated about buying cd's is you may only like a few songs on it.

lately I just put my phone to my car stereo and play movies while I drive to work, mainly just listen to them..

I bet you can't tell the difference between 320kbps mp3 vs cd.

The Changer question was based on the fact that I received a Nissan Cd/Changer As a gift. I wanted to know I anyone had info on the wiring harness. The vehicle has a factory Bose system with a single C/D as well as Cassette. If you kids have never heard of them there small reel to reel sound duplication devices.
Any help with the wiring harness would be appreciated as the Changer was a gift.
Thank You

For one I have a few friends who were in the music business. And I still believe that the artist should profit from his or her work product as opposed to the fascist corporate powers that be.
