RSX-S - Roadkill

he wanted to do it from a standstill...so...

i won't go into too much details but let's just say that it wasn't pretty. we did two 6-block runs and he didn't even have a chance. but then again, we're in two different classes (subcompact and 4-door family...i mean sedan)

Man...i love the torque in my max.

One more kill for the max!

Re: RSX-S - Roadkill

okay, check this out. after hearing daily how cool and fast his RSX is, i just had to race against him...especially after calling my max a datsun. A "DATSUN"?!? Okay, so maybe it is half true. but, trying to get him to put his car where is mouth was difficult...i guess because he just bought it. after about a week of taunting, he finally agreed to a little midnight run on Jamboree here in O.c., ca.

to cut to the chase, we pulled up to a red light. man...all i can say is...my heart was pounding and my hands were shaking like crazy. in my mind, i was thinking that if i lose i would never hear the end of it. my eyes were watching the cross-light as they were change from red...yellow......green. 1st gear, i punched it and got a good launch with no squeel. i was probably about 2 car lengths by the time i hit 6000 then drop it in 2nd and pulled maybe another car length. honestly, it was hard to tell...i took the advice of "don't look back". but man, that rsx was loud. by third, i was feeling more relaxed but that's when i noticed that he was finally pacing me...but about 4 car lengths away. lights turned red in the distance so we both rolled back to a stop. on the second run, roughly the same results except he was gaining harder in 2nd. by third, he dropped out entirely. i could have done better if i was better at shifting. we pulled over to a local denny's and he said his engine light was flickering. ouch.

you know what...somehow he wasn't as talkative the next day.

Everyone does NOT agree. Please don't assume you can speak for me. I, for one, don't want to read about another street racing moron who may end up as roadkill himself.

I usually don't read these adolescent street race threads. But I have relatives who live in the area and I wanted to make sure this stupid jerk didn't kill any of them.

I'll do that if you will stipulate that your definition of "everyone" refers to only you street race kids. With that, I'll give you the last word.

okay...so maybe "roadkill" was a misnomer. sorry.

btw...i need to also mention that we drove around for a bit to make sure that no one was around...no cars (with 2 cars a block behind) and most importantly people (50 degrees - too freaken cold for so cal residents). it was a 6-8 lane-wide blvd. sorry...no rice...everyone is on atkin's diet.

OMG, How insensitive do you think we are? I highly doubt that anyone in these forums would call running over someone "Roadkill."

I put the splash guard thing down to mock those who list every little mod, down to their brand of acne medicine. I'm glad someone sees the humor.
