Couple questions

Hi guys

Joined the club awhile back when I owned an Australian model maxima running the same engine as u guys. Back in 2012. Feedback I got was single 3" makes more power than the 2.5" Everywhere. Aswell the 3.5" intake with upgraded 3.5" maf seemed like it was the best option over the standard intake. These 2 things were the main mods I was gonna do to my current maxima I just braught. Just wanting to confirm if this still were the best options? I was gonna do NWP spacers. But abit worried about the BOP this time and loosing to much torque and not actually being faster. Obviously after all this a tune. My previous maxima had NWP spacers BOP cattman headers and 3" catback.

Cheers Kurt

It’s not that simple as we have explained many times.

It doesn’t matter what order you get the following items in, but make sure you incorporate headers in there because without those, gains won’t be as great.

Headers/3” exhaust/Test Pipe, if allowable in your area, I’d leave the BOP out and get spacers instead and also get a true SSIM.

The next step needs careful consideration and needs to be taken seriously.

We have decided or at least I have, that the 4” CGR intake is best, stack of your choice and filter of your choice. CGR is the intake tube, with MAF housing embedded.

But this is not just PnP. It requires fairly large injectors, 440 or 550, a MAF scaling device of your choice, and a WB with live monitoring.
