was trying to do research on what it takes to drop a trans mission, and i came acrossed references to a 5th gen 5AT trans!!!

does any one know anything about it and weather or not it had a locking diff? ...or did someone just have a typo?

Must be a typo. The 6th gen had the 5AT. The 5AT has so many problems on the 6th gen and is one of the biggest reasons the car got so much hate. I've never had a problem with my 4AT now at 140k miles, while my friends 2006 with the 5AT at 70k has had and still does have numerous problems.

Don't have any video or pictures but I just swapped transmissions over thanksgiving weekend. I can answer any questions you have and let you know of any problems you might come across.
