Sometimes my maxima starts fine but other times it takes 10-30 turns for ti to start. When it doesn't start it doesn't make any noise as if it's trying to start.

Anyone have a similar issue or know what it could be? My guess is the starter itself.

Why do you think it's the starter if it's indeed turning the engine 10-30 times, as you just said? Or perhaps it is not? ......

Check your grounds and your FPR. And search this forum for "slow to start". There are dozens of threads on the subject.

You mean turns of the key? That would most likely be starter solenoid (common problem), so replace starter.

I once did some troubleshooting on a lady's i30 ,she was complaining about the same issue and almost felt bad taking her money because her crank position sensor was just hanging by the wire, $40 later I bolted the two screws to the upper oil pan and she was back on the road
