2002 oil light

Got a 2002 with the 3.5 and oil light began to flicker. Checked oil best I could reading that odd dipstick, which is very difficult to read BTW, but oil level good. Engine not making any noises. But light basically stays on at idle and low rpm. This is my beater so haven't been too worried about it. Been driving like this for about half a year honestly. Engine runs just as good no noises knocking nothing. Finally getting around having time to fix it. I'm thinking the sensor might be bad but since the light goes off at higher rpm I'm thinking maybe weak oil pump? Also will 2002 i35 headlight bulb fit maxima?

You can clean the sensor, but if that doesn't work, then you're eating the bearings at low rpm...which just makes it worse. Pull the oil pan to verify.

If that's the case, then use the heaviest weight oil you can get (probably only 15/20w50) and run it till it blows up.

Also, you have to the check the oil cold (like next morning cold lol). It's a waste of time and you won't get an accurate reading, otherwise.

this will sound stupid but check the oil level after letting it sit overnight. It makes reading the stick easier and is more accurate

I did that and oil level good. Going to put heavier weight oil and see if that helps. Now onto next question, I have a i35 headlight bulb, will that fit the maxima?
