Jack the transmission pan up. That's the only way to get that mount off. It needs to be lifted to get that long screw out. When jacking the transmission use wood so you don't damage anything.

Is there a nut on the other side? Some times it spins.

this x10000. the long bolt running through the mount is held by a nut on the other side that is not welded to the mount. If you dont hold that nut still you will just spin it with the bolt endlessly without making anything looser. Took me an embarressing amount of time to figure that out myself lol.

Is it supposed to be a square nut? Because that seems to be the case, and then I don't know how to actually get to the other side where the bolt is. Thanks!

To follow up here is the nut side, looks welded on doesn't it? and if not I do I hold it down, what socket?

If it's just spinning the bolt. Put some pressure on the bolt.Or try hitting it with something. The threads may be ruined.

If that doesn't work, cut it with a sawzall blade.

Got it off and then found out the new mount was to thin in the bracket area making the bolt protrude lol oh well, put old one back on for now, any one have idea what size bolt I'd need to use on those four for the new mount? Also here's the huge bolt you have to get out in case anyone else is confused out there.

Raise the mount with washers between the mount and the tranny.

Could I get new bolts instead? Slightly shorter bolts seem easier than trying to get washers down there haha, of so what size?

I don't know man. Match it up with one of the old ones. Or grind that guide off at the tip of the old one.

They're size 12 diameter. I think thread pitch is 1.5 I can't remember to be certain. Goto harbor freight and get a digital calliper or bring the bolt to a hardware store. Replacements are cheap. If you goto a local hardware store get grade 10 or higher. Next time, beat it out with a hammer/chilsel.

That trans Mount might be a real pain to find a replacement for. As I'm fairly certain they're discontinued now. At least the bracket part is. Pretty sure there shouldn't be a nut threaded onto trans Mount other than the welded square one.

2 nuts don't make a right

Do what I did, get some 3M roof flashing polyurethane, clean the old mount with brake clean, then shoot the poly into it, give it a couple days to dry. And you'll not have to worry about it a longggg time .

I ordered new hardware from Nissan dealership online. Somehow managed to get a wholesale account, so nuts sand bolts cost alil more than hardware store, but usually from Japan. Some new hardware is USA made.
