Dear Roy,
I find your post quite offensive.
You haven't told us what the MY (Manufacturing year) of your car is. You didn't bother to tell us
what problem you are trying to fix, or what exactly you mean by "bypass" .
(Eliminate? If so, hardwire to ON, or OFF, or in some other manner?)
You are just demanding help, fast, without any effort on your side ....
A very careless and offensive attitude ..... and you expect us to help you ??
Sorry, but NO. Here:
Download yourself a copy of the FSM (use the link in my signature, below).
Use the EL section of the FSM (and perhaps other sections) to find out how to Sunroof controls are wired.
Then, do a bit of thinking to find out what modifications you need, if any.

2000 nissan maxima gle. I'm not a mechanic and this is my first time working on a car. I bought it for$1200 in Feb and it didn't even make it home despite test driving it and it was fine. Since then I have change spark plugs harmonic balancer tensioner pulley. I use a 12 volt battery and two wires to open and close the windows and adjust the seats. All that has taken me hours of research and days of labor. Since I can move windows and adjust seats with hot wiring it has to be the driver side master control switch. I was wondering if I could do the same method with sunroof but my attempts have been unsuccessful. Please forgive me for being so short and not being more specific.

What about the SECU located under right side of steering wheel. When I push my lock button I hear a click and that's where it comes from. All fuses are good. Under dash and in engine compartment. I'm just learning all this so I'm open minded for any ideas.
The power windows, sunroof, power seats, door locks all share a common power source. It starts with 40 amp fusible link # I (letter i, not number 1) that is under the hood by the battery. the cover on the fuse block calls it POWER WINDOW. The power goes to a circuit breaker that is under the dash and then gets distributed to the different parts of the car. The circuit breaker is next to the firewall behind the dashboard fuse panel.
Do you have a voltmeter or a test light? you need to check for 12 volts coming from the circuit breaker on the window switch or the seats or the sunroof. if you have the power on one of them, it is probably on all of them.
If you remove the power window switch (pry up on the back end), check the thick white/red stripe wire on pin 5 of the big connector. You should have 12 volts all the time, even when the car is turned off.
Thanks Dennismik I will be checking that out tomorrow. I know that i hear a slight clicking noise when I push the lock button and the sound is coming from under the dash. Is that the SECU? Under steering wheel close to the radio? I will attach a picture of it. Is this the secu? The clicking sound is coming from this.

Battery terminal fuse I changed it but didn't disconnect the battery. Was that pointless? Should I start over and disconnect the battery and change it again
