My car is running a little weird these days (2000 Max GLE) so I went ahead and replaced the MAF sensor since this is what the symptoms looked like, and also because when I pulled out the sensor to clean it, I saw it didn't have the hot wire on it and assumed that's why it was faulty but no code. So I replaced it, but the new one also doesn't have a hot wire? There's a slot for a wire, but no wire. Also my new MAF has 4 connectors, while my old one had 5, but since the harness is plugged is plugged on the 5th anyway I don't think that's the problem.

Did they change the design of the MAF? Did I get a faulty one? The dealership wanted 500 smackers for a Maf meter, this one is bluestreak remanufactured that cost me 1/5th of that.

It's a Saturn. Take out the engine and it makes a very good boxcar racer.
