do a search for hard starting

its a very common problem. no fix.

it often happens if you start the car and turn it off again before it fully warms up, say less then 10 min trips

DUDE This happened to me from day one when i got my 2001 5 SPD too, can't figure out why, but i always use injector cleaners on a full tank gas STP

I would have to agree with TimW...

the only times I seem to have had this happen is when I run out for lunch from my office...most places are within a 2 mile radius...other than that, I have a 30 minute commute and never had it happen after either direction of that trip.

Deven,
I think I remember reading in my owners manual it said not to use fuel injection cleaners. Did you see the same thing? Am I just falling into the "owners manuals are for saps" category. lol I used to use cleaner in all my fuel injected cars... before my Maxima.

try searching on fuel injector cleaners...you will see some members will not use them, others will, even others will use them, but only a certain brand...

personal opinion is if it is not done too frequently and the cleaner is added according to the instruction on the can, usually meaning a FULL tank of gas...probably won't hurt anything.

My opinion, but who the heck knows what is really in the stuff at any local pump...once it leaves the refinery, all kinds of contaminents, etc. can get in the fuel before it gets into your car.
