Home Depot valence redone- and grill too?
I didn't like the look of my original valence so I decided to redo it. It looked too much like chicken wire.
Finished front end with good gutter mesh.
Don't get suckered into the cheap sheets of mesh. They are much bigger and cheaper than the precut ones with hinges (5 sheets for $6), but from a quality standpoint, you can clearly see the difference.
Anyhow, my question is this. Is there any way to fabricate a grill to go behind the stock Maxima grill? I attempted this with my chicken wire crap and It looked good, but there was no way to fill in the top two slats because they are on a different level than the bottom four. Anyone out there done this?

The funniest thing is that Checker sells a mesh kit of lower quality in an APC package for $35! I couldn't believe it!

Hey asu174, I tried to do the same thing but it didn't work out. What I ended up doing was cutting smaller sections to fit around the 2 horizontal bars of the stock grill.
Here's a pic:
The hardest part of this was cutting the mesh. I went through 2 pairs of scissors (I found scissors worked well). You need to be careful you cut it to the exact size, otherwise either it will be too small and you will have gaps, or it will be too large and will scrape the finish off the grill.
