Personally, I don't really believe that most folks considering the 04 Maxima even considered a Pontiac Grand Prix. Even when I got my 2K2 Max, the only domestic I entertained looking at was the Oldsmobile Aurora; but then I slept it off.
I only considered the: Altima 3.5SE, Acura 3.2TL Type S, Passat VR6 and used GS400. The GTP was NEVER a thought for me; to this day, I dont regret it.
As for the SCCA dorks running a "16.7 ET" with the 3.5SE, someone needs to tell him/her that its not good for the Altima's tranny to run the quarter mile in REVERSE!!

Hey, I'm just protecting my interests. You say you've beaten tons of stock GTP's, race someone that can drive the thing. Please, reply calling me a troll. I'm just reading up on your cars to gain some knowledge. I suggest you do the same for ours.

Actually I'll give you two thumbs up on this post!! You made some great points. Although I am no GTP fan I do realize it is formidible competition for the Max and on the right day either vehicle can win.
