Maxi's Grille - Still Under Construction
In answer to the PM's, heres my write up... hope it helps... PM me for any more details.
what you will need is:
small saw (home depot or any hardware store)
mesh grill (automart or any other car store)
cutter to cut the mesh (home depot or hardware store)
glue (i used super glue)
1- use the saw to cut the studs holding the rows of teeth to the frame. You will need to brake the black plastic from the back sides of the teeth to get to the studs on the side. When u saw through them, make sure you dont scratch and damage the frame finish.
2- cut out an approximate peice of mesh and keep cutting/adjusting till it fits FIRMLY into the open space - again be careful you dont scratch the frame with the mesh edges. Once you have a good fit, you can cut the other peice of mesh using this one as a template. they are identical and you just flip the mesh over to use on the other side.
3- Insert the mesh into the frame making sure it holds firmly. Look for contact points between the mesh edge and frame and apply no more than 2 drops of super glue to that point only. Do not over use as superglue will ruin the frame and mesh finish so be careful! Let it dry and instal on ur car!
