I go for my V-AFC II install and wide band 02 dyno tune tomorrow. Let's hope they make use of all 24 maps everyone is talking about. I hope it's worth it cause having anything in my car with a VTEC label is disturbing.

You mean 24 points.... they are all on two 12 point maps configured to work side by side.

yeah, 24 points. I've been reading up a little bit and it seems a bit complicated, there are settings specific to the Maxima. Doesn't seem like one would know unless they familiar with how the VAFC works with the Max.

its not that complicated at all, in all truthfulness, it shouldn't take more than a base and 2 pulls. when I did Cherns AFC2, I made 2 small adjustments and it was pretty much as good as it was gonna get...granted each car is different, but I doubt it'll be any farther off than his was

So you're telling me out of all the settings on the AFC you only made 2 small adjustments??? I take it the AFC will make corrections with the base settings alone???

Don't quite understand.

you can only tune the AFR straight to a certain point, after a while, it becomes futile. most bolt-on N/A cars require VERY little "tuning". on the AFC you will only be making adjustments at the points needed to flatten out your A/F curve so you will not have to make adjustments at every point in the RPM range only where you are points off your target AF.

Ok, starting to make more sense. Anyone have a graph of what the curve should look like?
