the injen sounds almost identical to the fujita or atleast from what i can tell with the sound clips. they redesigned it a while back and it looks just like the fujita aswell. IMO if youre looking for the best sound go berk, short rams are usually louder and the berk that i had on my 5.5 was def louder. not as nice looking though.

heres a vid of the old max turn the sound up!!!

What's wrong with Sheridan? I mean, it's not the best place to live, but in fairly nice for the most part. Just not that many nice cars to look at here. It doesn't really matter, I'll be going off to college in a year...

Thanks for all the help guys. This just got even tougher...

The design is poor because it sits in between the radiator and exhaust manifold. Not exactly a cold air area. On the A34, it sits furthest away from the engine compared to the A32/33.

I think more power can be had before the intake should be changed. That’s what I’ve noticed. I still have my stock airbox and stock muffler on and am making decent power without all the noise.

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the Fujita. I just PM'ed RideTuner, and hopefully he still has that deal going on for the 07 Maxima.

Cai

I went cheap and bought a cosmoracing cold air intake long it came with k&n air filter $96 bucks! Sounds great and performs excellent ! I also cut the long pipe in half so I can have a short intake in winter and add the other piece with a coupler extend it into the fender well for summer when I want.

I asked our local dealership about this (Crown Nissan, Greenville, Sc) and they told me that they only sold Rated R Nismo Intakes for the Max. Which means they won't warranty it. I know that that's a pile of cheese. So I looked around a bit more and went with the Fujita, and dynoed.

I didn't think that intakes would have any affect on smog. Obviously an exhaust system would, but I don't see how an intake would...?

no not saying that im just passing on what the injen tech told me might want to check it out though personally i think its just a box inplace of the fujita hose from the tube to manifold but thats my humble opinion

Keeping the engine bay clean can be a big pain in the butt. I always clean the engine when I wash the outside of the car though. Then any plastic pieces under the hood, I Armor-all and clean. As long as you do it regularly, the dirt build up isn't too bad, and it doesn't take too long to clean it all up and have it looking just like new again

Fujita Black Wrinkle

I had the Fujita Kit (Black Wrinkle finish) on and loved it, wife hated it with newborn and all, anyways, I was forced to remove, had it installed for only 500-600 miles and now I am selling the Fujita CAI, anybody interested? I have worked for Nissan for years and have posted and spread the word around at work, most owners here are fogeys that are anti-mod, so looking to get around $150+ shipping, email if interested dconyers@cfl.rr.com

btw, 07 Max I think it will work on 04+ but you want to make sure, I am new to forums so try not to hate, just letting everybody know. Thanks in advance. All items included including dufflebag and directions.
